Office Assistant
Carla is the Administrative Assistant for the Accessibility Resource Center. Carla might be the first face a person sees when they walk into the ARC. Carla leads the work at the front desk, managing the multiple communications our office receives each day and ensuring operations run smoothly. Students report that Carla makes them feel welcome due to her warm and professional attitude.
How long have you been at St. Ambrose and why do you stay?
St. Ambrose has given me the opportunity to work in an environment that fosters growth, development and faith. This is my first year working at St. Ambrose since I was a Graduate Assistant--and I am so happy to be back!
Why do you do this job?
I love interacting with our students each day! I know college life can come with some stress and uncertainty and our office provides a smiling face, consistency and stability for students. I enjoy getting to know the students, their interests and their backgrounds. The work I do does not feel like work and that is why I love the Accessibility Resource Center and all that we have to offer!
